There are excellent views of Lake Titus and Titus Mountain. A secondary view, slightly obstructed, offers a glimpse of the Humbug Mountains.
How to get there
Follow Route 30 south out of Malone and continue for about 9 miles to the trailhead on the left. The dirt access road is roughly 1.5 miles to a parking area.
Note: The dirt access road is not suitable for vehicles that have low ground clearance. If doing this hike in winter or with a low-clearance vehicle, hike along the road to the parking area and continue from there. This will add about 3 miles to the round-trip.

The 1.5-mile Elephant Head Road provides access to Titus Mountain State Forest.
