The Macomb Trail, a short but pretty hike, is located just a short distance from downtown Malone.

How to get there

From Malone, go north on Park Street to the intersection of Brand Rd/Shears Rd. Turn right onto Shears Rd and go up the hill .25 of a mile to the Macomb Trail parking lot on the left.

Hiking

This round trip is 0.75 miles and has an elevation change of less than 100 feet. The scenery around the Macomb Hydro plant and dam is very pretty.

Lake Lamica was formed by this water project, and is home to many birds and fish.
