CCE Franklin's Animal Day at the Orchard returns on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Prairie’s Orchard for a day dedicated to celebrating agriculture, local farms, and community connections.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of animals, browse local vendors and artisans, learn about agriculture in Franklin County, and take part in family-friendly activities throughout the day. Adirondack BBQ will be on-site serving food, and live music from Shawn Legacy will provide entertainment from the orchard grounds.

The event also serves as a fundraiser supporting Cornell Cooperative Extension Franklin County’s agriculture programming. Organizers are currently seeking vendors, producers, hobby farms with animals, artisans, and youth activity providers. Vendors are responsible for bringing their own setup, including tents, tables, and any animal accommodations.
