This eight-mile loop offers beautiful views of Lamika Lake and a hiking trail to Macomb Dam.
Start in downtown Malone and ride north on Park Street. When this turns into Lower Park Road, start looking to the right (east) for the Macomb Trail trailhead and parking.
A short walk down the trail takes us to the fork, with a sign pointing left to the Macomb Dam scenic outlook. This is a series of steep switchbacks, so you may want to bring your hiking shoes.
Back on Lower Park Road heading north, there will soon be the three-way intersection that overlooks the Salmon River as it turns into Lake Lamika. Then ride north to Town Line Road and turn east onto Constable Street (Route 30). Or, turn around and enjoy the scenery on the ride back the way we came.
