Directions to Access Points

From the intersection of Route 3 and Route 86 in Saranac Lake, follow Route 3. Continue on Edgewood Road on the left. This turns into Ampersand Drive, and then Forest Home Road will be on the left. Follow Forest Home Road for a few hundred feet to a small path to the car-top boat launch area on the right.

Shoreline Fishing

The only shoreline fishing area will be accessed by walking the railroad track between Little Colby Pond and Lake Colby. The walk is just over a half mile and flat. You can access the railroad tracks off Route 86. Landlocked salmon are easy to catch on both sides of the tracks

Boat access

Paddling is the only way to access this small grassy pond. Perch fishing is outstanding on this little pond, so much so that it’s hard to catch anything else.

Special Regulations

The car-top boat access is on private property, so respect it when using this as a boat access.
