Upper Saranac Marina sits right next to Fish Creek Campground, which makes it one of the easiest places in the Adirondacks to go from setting up camp to being out on the water in minutes. It’s positioned on the Upper Saranac waterway system, a quieter, more open stretch of lake country where the shoreline feels less developed and the pace naturally slows down.
The marina offers a practical mix of rental boats built for different kinds of days outside. Pontoon boats are available for groups or anyone who wants a steady, comfortable ride for cruising and stopping along the shore. Smaller fishing boats give anglers a simple way to reach deeper water and less-traveled edges of the lake. For a more hands-on experience, canoes and kayaks are also part of the fleet, letting visitors slip into narrow inlets, paddle along forested banks, and explore spots larger boats can’t access.
The on-site store carries fishing gear, bait, snacks, cold drinks, sunscreen, bug spray, and basic boating supplies, so there’s no need to leave the lake area once you arrive. Even last-minute needs like life jackets or rope are covered.
It’s a flexible way to experience Upper Saranac Lake without overplanning—just show up and go.
